The 2026 GMC Terrain doesn't offer a traditional manual transmission, but it does come standard with an 8-speed automatic transmission that features Manual Mode. This gives you the control and engagement of a manual when you want it, without sacrificing the convenience of automatic shifting in everyday driving.

For front-wheel drive models, a continuously variable transmission (CVT) is available. All-wheel drive models use the 8-speed automatic with Manual Mode as standard.
