The 2026 Buick Encore GX is powered by a standard 1.3L turbocharged engine producing 155 hp, paired with a smooth 9-speed automatic transmission. This setup delivers responsive acceleration and confident everyday driving while maintaining excellent efficiency-a GM-estimated 29 mpg city and 31 mpg highway with front-wheel drive.

Front-wheel drive is standard; available all-wheel drive enhances traction in wet or slippery conditions. The compact size and agile handling make it easy to maneuver in urban environments, while a finely tuned suspension smooths rough pavement and maintains stable cornering. You get a capable, efficient small SUV that reduces fuel stops without compromising comfort or control.
