The 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 HD offers two powerful engine choices:

**Standard:** 6.6L V-8 gas engine with 401 horsepower, 464 pound-feet of torque, and a 10-speed automatic transmission.

**Available upgrade:** 6.6L Duramax turbo-diesel V-8 engine with 470 horsepower, 975 pound-feet of torque, and an Allison-certified 10-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine is ideal if you regularly tow heavy loads.

Both engines are refined, responsive, and more agile than other heavy-duty competitors. You can configure the Sierra 3500 HD with rear-wheel or four-wheel drive. The 3500 HD also offers your choice of single- or dual-rear-wheel axles (dually).
