The 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 HD offers two powerful engine choices:

**Standard Gas Engine:** The 6.6L V8 delivers 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque with a 10-speed automatic transmission. It's responsive and refined, perfect for everyday hauling and moderate towing.

**Available Duramax Turbo-Diesel:** The 6.6L V8 diesel produces 470 horsepower and an impressive 975 lb-ft of torque, paired with an Allison-certified 10-speed automatic. This is the choice for those who regularly tow heavy loads-it achieves the truck's maximum 36,000-pound towing capacity.

Both engines offer excellent responsiveness and refinement. For the 3500 HD, you can choose a single- or dual-rear-wheel axle (dually) to match your needs. The Sierra 3500 HD also includes trailer assist features like Transparent Trailer View, Trailer Side Blind Zone Alert, and available adaptive cruise control with trailering.
