The 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 HD offers two excellent engine choices:

**Gas:** Standard 6.6L V-8 with 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic.

**Diesel:** Available 6.6L Duramax turbo-diesel V-8 with 470 horsepower and 975 lb-ft of torque, also with a 10-speed automatic (Allison-certified).

The gas engine delivers solid performance for everyday use. The Duramax diesel is the right choice if you regularly tow heavy loads-it delivers significantly more torque and enables the Sierra's maximum 36,000-pound towing capacity.
